Us Too

At the Law Offices of Rudolph F.X. Migliore, P.C., feeling safe in your community is one of our main values. Being a leader for his community, Rudy is proud to be with the Me Too Movement: “It is important to be there for your neighbors, coworkers, peers, employees, and family.” To Rudy, all of Long Island holds a special place in his heart. When hearing of this movement, he decided to raise awareness for this campaign as well. Members of this office went to Stony Brook University to participate in the #MeToo march held on campus. If you missed the marches, or speaking engagements and want to learn more about Me Too, read below for why you should be apart of the movement!

Almost 18 million women alone have reported a sexual assault since 1998. That only accounts for half of the population, not to mention the women who kept silent. This could be someone you know, love, and care about: a friend, family member, or even stranger. It is time to stand up and break the silence. 50% of women experience sexual violence in their lifetime. The statistics are higher for women of color from low wealth communities.

The only way to fight the oppressors of our society is to stand up to them. The emphasis behind #MeToo is the message that you are not alone. You are not alone in the struggle of feeling safe in your community, and you are not alone in the fight against sexual related violence and/or harassment. You are either a survivor or may know of a survivor. By raising awareness, de-stigmatizing individual occurrences, we shine the light of hope into the dark corner of those affected. We, together as a society, show that we can make a change together.
